Happy Birthday little man!

I can't believe Jaxon is already 2!! Where did the time go? He is so much fun at our house. He loves his sister, and brothers and especially their motorcycles!!
He had a happy birthday but he wasn't sure about all the people, he is still a little shy! We just love him to pieces!!!!

Some of Keaten's events

Here are pics of some of Keeter's activities she's been doing the last couple of weeks. She competed in the Hershey track and field event, and did pretty good. She took 1st in the standing long jump with a jump of 6' 7''. She places 2nd in the 100 meter, and 3rd in the 200 meter. She has been playing softball and loving it, She pitches and plays short. She is getting ready to compete in the summer games. And we are trying to decide if we can squeeze in region track, however it is the same weekend as the power tumbling so it's most likely not going to happen.

Wow, it's been a while!

Where does the time go. We only have four more days of school left, it seems like we just started. I am looking forward to no mornings of Mason crying, and Keaten rolling her eyes and him! We have been running crazy, but what's new. I have had a little break from gymnastics until June when my summer clinics start. It's been nice because Keaten has softball practice on Monday and Wednesday, with games on Tuesday and Thursday. Mason has games on Monday and Friday, and practice on Mondays, so that pretty much sums up my evenings. We get home just before dark with just enough time for me to load up Jaxon and take our nightly bike ride. He loves it, however he is starting to get mad because when we pass the horses and cows, he cries because he can't ride them. Landon is sporting a new navy blue cast on his right arm.
He was riding his dirt bike last weekend (not at the races) his 250 was needing some work so he decided he would ride his 125. This was not a good idea because he was riding it like he was on his 250 and went right over the bars. He broke his wrist (scafoid) and his elbow. (radial head) So there goes a bad start to his summer, he is bummed. His favorite track to race is at Rocky Mountain Raceway, and that race is the end of May. Unfortunately we won't be attending. Jaxon is talking up a storm, he repeats everything he hears and speaks very clear. I love this stage! I just wish it would last longer! I posted some recent pics from the last few months, It's crazy how fast time flies!

Jaxon discovered he could drink straight from the hose and he loves it!

Here are the boys working on my mothers day present. I was in desperate need of a new bike and baby seat and I love it. We ride out past the park every night!

Dance Dance and more dance

Nationals at Lagoon!! They rocked that rainy weekend. Keaten and Abbie took first in thier Duet. The jazz team also took first, along with her clogging team taking a first, and the production number taking first. They were awesome despite the rain. Even Mason and Braxton enjoyed the rain, they rode every ride they could. A huge thanks to Cheri and Kara, they took the boys for the day and they had a blast.

The little man warming up in the sun.

LOL this is how Jaxon enjoys rainy days, the neighbors enjoyed it too!!

This one is Mason, he says he is ''going big''

These two are landon, He is loving this bike!

In Over my head!!!

As usual our family is busy busy, but when April finally got here, it came in with a vengeance. I seriously cant keep up with the high school baseball schedule. It's a good thing Landon can drive because he pretty much gets himself where he needs to be. Then we have soccer, which I have yet to make it to a game. I am always teaching so that puts Kevin on soccer duty with Mason. Keaten is also pretty much on her own with the help of me and mom number two (Natalie). She has something every night between dance, duet, clogging and gymnastics. But fortunately she is right next door to me, so that helps a ton. So I am super excited to announce that we are hosting out first Gymnastics Meet....I can't wait!! This is why at times I feel like I am in over my head. But I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will have about 94 competitors, competing levels one through five. They will all compete two passes, along with one flexibility skill, and one balance skill. All of my judges are confirmed and ready to go (None of them are from Salina). We have ordered the medals and ribbons. Contacted our statisticians, typed up the score sheets, and scheduled the building. I have two weeks until the meet, and I just keep going over my papers, making sure I don't leave anything off. All of our students are so excited and nervous. But I know they will do great! For all my gymnasts who read this keep up the good work, I know how hard you are working!

Kids, Kids, Kids!

I woke up today and was laying in bed trying to remember what day it was. I was so glad when I realized it was Saturday! Then I looked over and seen the most precious face in the world, with bright blue eyes and a smile that just melts my heart! Jaxon says ''morning mommy'' I wish I could lay in bed with him every morning. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. Yesterday he walked in the kitchen and found Lilly our pug chewing on his favorite toy motorcycle and he yelled at the top of his lungs ''Damn it Lilly'' I almost died I did not no if I should laugh or spank him.

Moving on from the youngest to the oldest Landon got his drivers licence on Monday! It seems like a dream I have not woken up from, I seriously can't believe he is 16! He has been busy as usual with school and playing baseball. He barely has enough time for homework, and especially his favorite past time riding his dirt bike! He has also been really sick this week. I think he might have Strep throat, and I am kicking myself for not getting him to the Dr. I know he his sick when he doesn't get out of bed to eat! This kid eats more than everyone in my family put together! This might explain why he is now bigger than both Kevin and I.

Keeter bug is super busy right now. She just started her first round of dance competition, and has two more. She placed First in all four dances. They did great. She also has a Tumbling competition in April she is working hard for. I am so proud of her she has been blessed with talent, and she works so hard to improve it. She is her toughest critic. She never stops pushing herself. But through all of her drive and determination she loves it. I don't have to ask her to practice, most of the time I have to yell upstairs and tell her it is time to take a break!

Mason like always is just my little buddy. He is going through a serious whining stage though, and it is driving me CRAZY. I hope it's just a phase, I really think he was the baby for so long, that sometimes he thinks he still needs to be the baby! I am a little worried though he is quite the ladies man. Landon never even talked to girls until 8th grade. Mason can't quit talking to them and about them. He says every girl in his class except two ''Love him'' LOL I really don't know what to think of it.

Well that about sums in up. I am going to try to do better at blogging now, so my posts wont be so long!!!!!

Much needed update!

I know it has been forever, and it is time for a much needed update. But honestly I am so busy right now, I barely have time to sleep. In fact last night I got home at 9:00 p.m. and I was so tired I put Jaxon to bed and went and sat down on the floor, and I did not move until 6:30 this morning. Keep in mind I was still dressed in my clothes and shoes! I am counting down the days until April, that's when things will settle down (a little). Any way I hope everyone is doing well, and I will get back to being a better blogger soon!

Going Private

The time has come to go private. I have been meaning to do this for a long time, but for one reason or another it keeps getting put off. I love to read everyone Else's blog, and I think it is a great way to stay in touch with everyone. Even when we live less than three minutes away and we pass each other daily, life is so crazy we hardly ever have the time time to just stop and talk. If you would like to continue reading my posts please leave me your e-mail address, and I would love to send you an invite to my blog. Moving on we have been super busy like everyone else. It is only February and seriously I am counting down the days until summer. FYI... daylight savings is in 26 days (I told you I was counting down) YEA. Today poor Keeter had NINE teeth extracted. Five baby teeth and Four permanent teeth. She has been such a trooper. We did make time for a little fun this last weekend. We loaded up and went to the Snowmobile races on Saturday. It was fun to get out, we needed a little more snow though. Kevin took 2nd place, and a huge congrats to Tia...she kicked butt and took first in two divisions! It was awesome. Then on Sunday we made our Valentine boxes. Mason made a race car, and Keaten made a Mail box. Here are the pictures of the final product.

Suprise Party

We had the best weekend, Shauna and her family flew in from N.C. and spent four days in Utah it was so good to see them, we have missed them tons. When we got the news about Shauna coming to Utah we planned a surprise party for Kara. She turned 30 on Christmas day this year, and it was impossible to plan her a party during the holidays. So we decided to throw a late surprise party....she had no idea. We had so much fun even my mom, Dean and Heather made it. I wish I could spend every weekend with my sisters. I am so grateful to have such wonderful family my sisters are my rock! I could never make it without them, I love you guys!

Boys will be Boys

I have slacking on my blogging duties, however I have had nothing great and exciting to post. We have been keeping busy with the usual everyday activities at our house.
I am soooooo excited that January is half over I have cabin fever terribly. Next week Shauna and her Family are flying in from North Carolina and I cant wait to spend the weekend with them. My kids are keeping me busy busy, and Jaxon is still into EVERYTHING. Last Thursday he woke up at 3:00 a.m. and had no desire to go back to bed. After trying for about 1/2 hour it was clearly obvious he was ready to party. I took him out to the living room and layed a blanket on the floor hoping he would lay down by me and fall asleep. The only one who fell asleep was of coarse me! You have no idea the mess I woke up to. He unloaded every cupboard and drawer in the house. Cups, spoons, pans, lids, everything! Then apparently he got hungry so he helped himself to the cereal, when he was finished he just dumped the remainder on the floor, with the dog food. He probably had some dog food as well. Then he made his way to the bathroom. He dumped out all the q-tips and bobby pins, before he went for the toilet and found a box of tampons and dumped them in the toilet. When I went in the next morning there were about six still floating. Needless to say it took me a while to clean up.... once again I was late for work. When I got home that night I was putting some groceries away and as I turned the lazy Susan around I found some remaining ''party favors'' left behind. If you look closely you will notice the wrappers on the tampons have been wet. Apparently they too were in the toilet! I can only imagine what the terrible two's may bring!!!

Next we have Mason's battle wounds. His first black eye... he ran head on with a 2x4 sticking out of the back of Kevin's truck! I'm not kidding it is never dull moment at the Mickelsen's house.

Christmas day

Here are some random pics from Christmas, everyone was spoiled at our house! We started out Christmas morning at my house with my mom, Dean, Heather, Kara, Cheri, Richard, and Nikki (Cheri's boyfriend and his brother) After Santa and presents we had breakfast. Then we played some more. In the afternoon we went to Kevin's parents and had dinner and more presents! It was a great day the only thing missing was Shauna and her family....we will be making up for this next year!!!
